You don't need to use the trilled r (tremolo r) in German. The uvular r is fine. Actually, I myself as a native speaker cannot pronounce the trilled r properly.
The trilled r is more common in southern Germany, while the uvular r is more common in northern Germany. But both will be understood everywhere.
