同志 this is a little comlicated, it has three different meanings. the first is which means the people who have the same ideal with you. the second is which is a call for the guy you dont know, this usage a lot during in the 80s,90s. then the third is which means the gay.

河水— means river, especially the water in the river.

戏曲— this is a chinese traditional dramas.

回忆— memory; thinking about the old things.

才子— the man who is talented.

统治— rule,dominate; like the king rules the entire country.

喝水— drinking, we all need this.

吸取— draw; for example, draw a lesson, learn from failures.
suck up; for example, These plants suck up moisture from the soil.

会议— meeting/conference

儿童— child/kid
