how can I say in Japanese "I want you to do something"?
Example:
I want you to work in the garden or
I want you to brush your teeth or
I want you to go to sleep now.

Hi Otouan,

"I want you to do ~ "
わたしはあなたに〜してほしいです。 or 〜してもらいたいです。

Example:
I want you to work in the garden.
わたしはあなたににわでしごとをしてほしいです。

I want you to brush your teeth.
わたしはあなたに（あなたの）はをみがいてもらいたいです。

I want you to go to sleep now.
わたしはいまあなたにねむってほしいです。

Another example is :
I want you to make coffee for me.
わたしはあなたに (わたしのために) コーヒーをいれてほしいです。
