well I don't know if you know what tashkeel is, but tashkeel would help you to read the words easier.
also you can tell from the context
    تَسَوُّق :tasau-wuq
    تَسُوق : Tasooq

    Examples:
أنت تسوق سياؤتك ( anta tasuqu sai-yaratuk)
    you're driving your car.
أنا ذاهبة للتسوق مع صديقاتي ( ana thahibaton lit-tasau-wuqi ma3 sadiqati )
I'm going shopping with my Friends ( girl friends cause here it is feminine)
you should also know that the word تقود ( taqud) is more commonly used for the word driving .

hope I could help you :)

تسوق for driving is a verb, whereas تسوق for shopping is a noun.

انت تسوق سيارتك you are driving your car

التسوق كان ممتعا shopping was enjoyable.

you are driving your car (anta tasooq sayaratk)
    shopping was enjoyable. (tasao-uq kan momte3 )
