学会 - learn a skill 学习 - study (You can learn to play the piano, but you study math)
男朋友 - boyfriend 伴侣 - companion, partner (think of the difference between calling someone your boyfriend and calling someone your partner in English)
This is how I understand the difference, perhaps a native speaker can be of more assistance!

学习 is "learn", "learning" or "study".
学会: 学 is "learn" or "study"; 会 is "be able to".
so 学会 is that you have learned well something.
Therefore you can say "中文很难, 我都学不会!"
