    rely on - count on his/her help and support in all situations

    "hang out" means: To spend time with, to talk to to do something with. Another slang word that has a similar meaning is "chill with". If you are talking about relaxing by yourself, you can also say "I'm just hangin' out" or "I'm just chillin'".

    To rely on someone is to believe that they are dependable, and feel able to count on them/their support.
