에 Usage After Amount of Object

Hi all, I would like to ask about a dialogue I found at Active Korean book (as quoted below):

사과 한 개에 얼마예요?
천 원이에요.
다섯 개 주세요.
여기 있어요.

1. I don't understand why there should be 에 after the 개 at the first sentence. I thought 에 is a particle for location.

2. And why there isn't 에 at the third sentence?

3. Another similar sentence I found at the book:
이 사과는 하나에 얼마예요?
So 에 is still used even though there's no counting units and there's just amount of the object?

감사합니다..! ^^
