the thing ありますか?can be also say like あるの?the second one is not polite is basically how teenager japanese talk to each other?鉛筆はありますか?鉛筆はあるの?that basically means when you wan't to ask if some one has something in that case I'm talking about pencil

あるの?= informal Japanese (a bit feminine too)
ありますか? = formal Japanese
