it is to get somones attention at the beginning of speech and has no meaning in real.
the هـ in words like هذا and هؤلاء is originaly also a ها followed by ذا or أولاء
it has no meaning it's just to start a speech and to make others pay attention to something or aomeone ( and somehow it is also contains a meaning of reffering to someone or something )
هــــا هُنَّ صَدِيقاتِي ( ha hunna sadiqa~ti)
here are my friends ( feminine)
ها هُمْ أَصْدِقائِي ( ha hum asdiqa-i)
here are my friends ( masculine)
ها هُوَ صَدِيقِي ( ha hua sadiqi)
here is my friend
ها هِيَ غُرْفَتي ( ha hia ghurfati)
