You can be fooled by love but you can fool yourself more easily. In love you see what you want to see, rather than what is. You may feel as if you are being fooled or taken advantage of. If though you have a habit of being fooled or let down (as if you want to be let down in a relationship) then you should make sure you are really being let down rather than tricking yourself into believing it. If you give love without expecting it back, you may be taken advantage of and should re-examine the relationship.
