Please explain: "첫인상하고는 다른 사람을 알게 되고, 더 친하게 된 적"
첫인상이 나빴던 친구가 알고 보니까 성격이 대게 좋은 경우가 많이 있어요.
그 사람이랑 더 가까이 지내게 되죠. B씨도 그런 적 있죠?

I don't understand 3rd sentence. I know he's trying to summarise the 1st 2 sentences, but it just couldn't make sense to me...
Why start from "첫인상하고는" and suddenly jump to "different people 다른 사람", he didn't mention about "different people" in his earlier sentences after all...

"첫 인상하고 다른" is describing the noun "사람" like an adjective meaning "a person who is different from his/her first impression"
