What's the difference between 지하 and 지하도???

    지하도 means underpass. it refers a road or path which goes under the ground.
    whereas '지하' has a wider meaning than '지하도'.
    '지하', It can be used in various ways.
    first this term usually refers a place in underground. ex)지하 감옥, 지하 주차장
    next some people use this term in a figurative way to represent 'afterlife or the next world'. (but I hardly use 지하 as 'the next world'.)
