"takeaway" ????

I watched a speech on the TED.COM today. By the end of the talk the speaker Cameron Russell she said " ..... If there's a takeaway to this talk, I hope it's that we all feel more comfortable acknowledging the power of image in our perceived successes and perceived failures ." I have no idea about what "takeaway"mean in this sentence and what does all the sentence mean too ... please help me ....

    I believe the speaker meant whatever the audience learned (and thus took away). The word "takeaway" usually refers to food ordered and taken home from a restaurant. 可以说带走。
