Prince´s Palace (Castle or Princely Palace (Castle?

Which designation is better when writing about medieval settlement with a prince´s (princely?) castle as the most important building. Thanks to everybody for the answers

    You are right that a castle is the place where a prince would live. A "prince's castle" means a particular castle owned by a particular prince. A "princely castle" means a castle fit for a prince. I hope that makes sense. "prince's castle" is showing possession while "princely castle" describes the type of castle.
