I wonder whether or not I was able to paraphrase the IELTS topic.
This is the topic:
Most countries develop their economies to improve living standards. Some people are afraid that it will cause degradation of important social values. Do you think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?
This is my periphrasis:
It is certainly true that most countries are trying to enhance their economic growth in order to increase the standard of living. However, some people believe that those countries which have a robust economy are more likely to lose some of their social values.
This is the topic:
