    Sumimasen (excuse me), kore wa ikura desuka?
    The "English" (actually romanized) way of writing Japanese is called "rōmaji".

    Hello Rony Francis,

    To ask in Japanese “How much this costs, please?”, you can say:

    " Kore wa ikura desu ka. "

    kore = "this"
    wa = topic marker (is placed here after the name “kore” to let understand that we
    are speaking about “this”)
    ikura = "how much"
    desu = "is"
    ka = question marker

    And if you need to learn other sentences that could help you during your stay in Japan, try to have a look to those links:

    Note that if you ask your question in Japanese, the answer will be also in Japanese !

    I wish you a nice stay in Japan.
