A 'chamber' is a type of room. A 'chamber' will have a specific, usually ceremonial, function.
a room may be a chamber but a chamber may not be a room.
room is the general word for any type of space with walls around it in a house/castle/mansion/hut etc. A chamber is usually a huge room found in a castle or mansion. Hope that helps:)

I wouldn't say so.
A room is a ordinary room, where as a chamber I'd say has more of a purpose to it, such as for holding meetings, or a reception room ect;
Hope that helps. :)
