japanese na adj + na

can someone explain more about na-adj + na? I heard/read some people say shizuka na~ or kirei na~ so my doubt is why do we add (na)? and also is there difference if we do not add (na) at the end?

な-adj is used without adding な if there's no noun after it, for example:
    この部屋が静かです。このへやがしずかです。
    This room is quiet.

But if there's a noun after it, な should be added, for example:
    静かな部屋です。しずかなへやです。
    A quiet room.

    Hope this helps!
