Can “hole up” be translated to “stay at home all time”?like......indoorsy?

    To "hole up" means 'to take refuge'. Literally, it means to find a hole (in a tree, mountain, ground) and stay there until it is safe to come out. Figuratively, it just means to stay somewhere safe and wait.

    It could, but someone might "hole up" anywhere.
