There's a line of song lyrics: 갚아주겠어 잊지 마
I know 잊지 마 is "don't (you) forget" - I understand the imperative.
갚아 is from 갚다, to repay, and 주겠어 is "I will give", so "I will repay you".
Why not just 갚겠어?
I'm just confused about seeing two verbs back-to-back like that. Is it similar in structure to the polite imperative, like 봐 주세요 (V +주세요)? (I know they have different meaning, I just mean the grammatical *structure*)
Can I use any other verbs with that? V + 주겠어 to give the meaning of "I will give V"? Examples?
감사함니다!
