    말 is a native Korean word. It means language. 어, which can be written in the Chinese character 語, also means language. So, They are same meaning.

    In most cases both are interchangeable, but "한국어" is used to indicate "The Korean language" generally.

    "한국말" is more like "talking or speech in Korean", and sounds more casual than "한국어"
