Home ha un po' il senso di "focolare", rappresenta, tutto insieme, la casa stessa e l'intimità familiare. House è soltanto la casa nel senso di "costruzione".
Un anglofono mai direbbe: *House sweet house":)

A house is the actual building that someone would live in. A home is what you make of that building when you move in live and love in it. :)

A house is a physical thing. A home is a concept ("Home is where the heart is.")

From a grammatical point of view, you would say "I come to my house" but "I come home". We don't use "to" if the destination is a concept (eg. up, in, away, abroad).

    HOUSE

    1. The name given to that four-sided structure with a roof.

    HOME

    2. Any place where you sleep:

    a. a house.
    b. an apartment.
    c. a car.

    3. HOMELESS PEOPLE. = They sleep on the sidewalk, in parks, alleys, etc.

    4. "Home sweet home." (There is no place like your home.)
