"He stigmatised all the people in the community conveniently on his own terms."
Does this sound right to you? I always say things first, and then second-guess myself. =s
How do you use "on his own terms" "on their own terms" "on its own terms"?
Thank you.

To me, it doesn't sound right, and it doesn't make sense.
People can stigmatise themselves - but I can't see how any one person could stigmatise everyone (else) in a community.
'Conveniently' would normally go before the verb - i.e before 'stigmatised' - but again, I can't see how stigmatising could be done 'conveniently'.
'on xxx own terms' normally means that the person is unilaterally 'making the rules' by which some business/interaction is run. Again - I can't see how that would be an appropriate in a situation where someone is manipulating other people without them being aware.
Maybe I'm just too naïve to think of an appropriate situation? ;^)

"He stigmatised all the people in the community conveniently on his own terms."
He characterized his community's people as disgraceful or ignominious, by what he thought of them. (shame of what he thought of them)
