Learning via Translation
I am trying to put my learning into practice by translating. Please help me correct it and please explain to me what I don't understand and what is wrong. I appreciate it!
말을 못하는 게 아니라 안 하는 거죠

말하기 시작하면 다 이해받고 싶어질 테니까
If spoken words begins to be understood, is it what I want?
그래도 약속을 지키겠다고 내 옆에 나와서 앉아있긴 있는데
Nevertheless, I protected the promise but I didn't think you wold come to my side
내가 무슨 말을 하면 한박자씩 늦게 대답하고
If I spoke what would I say, it will be late to respond after each time.
내가 웃긴 말을 해도,
that smile speaks to me
"아.. 아.. 예..."
ah.. ah.. yes..
그러다가 가끔은 대답도 없구
but then sometimes you don't reply
어딜 갔나 해서 쳐다보면
where you looking at?
몸은 내 옆에 있는데 표정은 텅 비어있고 눈동자에는 구름 같은 게 껴 있고
your heart must be here with me, but you are expressionless and in your pupil have the same cloud
그런 사람한테 내가 무슨 말을 하겠어요

여름이 끝날 때쯤 한번 제대로 말리려고 올려놓은 것 같은데
when summer almost came to an end, because put it on is like stopping it properly for once
집주인이 잊어버렸는지 그 돗자리 거기서 한달쯤 그러고 있어요
The houseowner forgot so the mat was there about one month
비가 오면 맞고 해가 오면 다시 또 마르고
If it rain came and it came at the right time, it will dry up again.
저러다 썩으면 어쩌나 싶어서 엄마한테 한번 이야기를 했거든요
