Hello. A question for Italian speakers. In which way do you use Demonstrative Pronoun "questo"?

May I always to omit it?

    You use "questo" like you use "this" in english.
    So you use it when you specify that your are talking of a specific subject-object.
    If you want to say "This apple is sweet" you would say.
    "Questa mela è dolce". Because you are talking of a specific apple which is near you (i.e in your hands).

    As a pronoun and NOT as an adjective here is an example:

    -- questo (adjective) libro e` usato e costa 10, quello e` nuovo e costa 15.
    Vuoi questo (pronoun for 'the book near me')
    o quello (pronoun for 'the other book) ?
