How best to learn to communicate in English?

While reading English books and watching English movies are actually good ways to learn the language, the best way to learn is to keep practicing your speaking skills.

Here in italki, there are a lot of teachers who can help you practice your speaking and correct your mistakes for the sake of learning the language better, for a good cost. You can improve a lot if you keep speaking using the language you are trying to learn. :)

What is best for you depends on the level of your English. If it's Lower Intermediate or a higher level I would recommend:
1) Always real English (not study books);
2) Reading (look up the unknown words and word combinations in a dictionary and write them out to review later);
3) Listening (on the internet you can find interesting radio and tv channels, podcasts etc.) - thus you'll train your ear and get used to the native rate of speech, also your pronounciation and fluency will greatly improve;
4) Communicating in English with a native speaker - find one on this site!
