in Italian , "Single" is a person who is not engaged or married.

Secondo me "single" è la parola che ricorre più frequentemente.

io preferisco "single" perchè c'è un concetto ,un umore, una sfumatura.
Per me rappresenta qualcosa di più che "singolo".

Ormai questo termine inglese (pronunciato come in inglese) e` purtroppo entrato nel nostro lessico ;
Sono d'accordo con te, il termine italiano sarebbe migliore:
