It can be confusing to English speakers as well, to get it right.
Another can mean "one more", or "a different one" (another person)
Other means "different" but usually means more than one, or a group. (other people)
Others is plural for "other". It can be used if you want to leave out the noun that should follow "other" (other people think differently = others think differently)
The other means one (and only one) that is different. In my previous example, I use the noun "people" to continue this example: "these people and the other people"
