Undecided questions
How do you respond?
Hello,
in this situation,
A: That english course was terrible.
B: But it was free of charge, right?
A: Yeah. < ........ >
I rememeber I have seen this conversation in some TV show. But I forget how to respond. Basically A responded with something like " But it still wasn't worth the money." I would like to know how to respond like a native speaker. But not too serious, just making a joke ^^. Thanks a lot~

We say in England
It could have been one of the below;
'That's cheap at twice the price' - to signify a good deal.
So, sarcastically, we say 'Cheap at half the price'
which doesn't really make sense, but it's what we say!
So if it was free, and it was bad, perhaps 'Cheap at half the price' would signify it wasn't even worth doing for free.

If you really wanted to express contempt, "Yeah, and I wouldn't take it again if they taped a $20 bill to the desk."
Suggesting that if you paid me to take the class I'd still be getting a bad deal.
