以前古代称呼主人或者有身份地位的人。
现在一般用不到，除了娱乐方面的，例如毕老爷...

in ancient times, 老爷 represent someone who is rich or someone who is working for the Emperor and is powerful, the servants they hired called their master "老爷"or their wife( you know,ancients they have two or three wifes), they called their hunsband 老爷， and nowadays,in some places in China, grandchildren call their grandfather “老爷"

老爷是指古时候对男子的尊称， 我们现在并不怎么用它。：）

但時至今日 "老爺" 也有可能是
一家之內 妻子對於丈夫的暱稱 愛稱 或 戲稱
就如同父母親稱呼自己的兒子 或其他長輩戲稱晚輩 為 "少爺"
