What's the difference between por and para?
I am learning Spanish right now. And I am so confused where to use por/para. Can any one help me here?

POR Expresses CAUSE (Why?)
PARA Express purpose ( for what?)
example : ¿por qué te marchas a casa ? = Why did you go home?
Me voy POR mi mama enferma
para que sirve el lapicero? =for serving the pencil?
El lapicero sirve PARA escribir = the pen is used to write

simply "por " is more like "for" y "para" is more like "to"
