Mixing up biking and cycling
If I am correct then when I say biking most people will think I am on a motorbike right? I am never on a motor, I use my own human force.
- a bike, to bike: using a motor and burn gas
- a bicycle, to cycle, to bicycle: using your legs and burn fat.
And at the moment I say, I bike to the office for an hour every morning, most people think I am wearing a helmet and a leather suit?

Depends on where you are. This is a regional thing and it varies wildly within the US.
I've lived in places where you have described it perfectly.
Where I currently live, both of those mean to bicycle.
