whats the difference between 元素 and 因素？

When you say 元素， you are talking about a chemical element that consists of one type of atom; But when you say 因素，we would think you're talking about the factors that cause or contribute to chemical reactions.

元素 means element in the sense of chemistry,因素 means the cause leds to the result.
