I'm learning Spanish, too. The easiest thing for me has been to type "character map" in the Microsoft Windows search box. A window pops up showing all kinds of special characters. Find the character you need and then copy and paste into your document.

ALT 160 = á

ALT 162 = ó

Add Spanish among other languages you use (the small panel below where you choose between English and Chinese). I use the Mexican keyboard and typing special signs is easy. For the ¿ it's the key =, for the ¡ the same key with SHIFT. the only thing I don{t like about it is that all the punctuation signs are situated somewhere else, so you have to get used to their new position.
