what should i say in French language if i want to be greeting with some one new? Ex, if i meet someone on public station, airport, etc

I think you talk about to welcome someone and in this situation you can say in French " Bienvenue ! ", and if someone says to you "Bienvenue ! " you can answer "Merci" :)
