How literal are word-for-word translations?
I am attempting to write a short powerpoint from English written form to Mongolian. The sentence I translated into Mongolia script is
Үйлдвэрлэл 1,100 хэмжигдэхүүн тонн ын Хэрэггүй өдөр ашиглах хоёр анхдагч Хэрэггүй самосвал
from the original engilsh sentence:
Produces 1,100 metric tons of waste per day utilizing two main waste dumps
How close am I?

better be careful with words like "waste dumps". Usually, it's translated separately.

Not very close. It says "Production 1,100 units ton. two initially unnecessary trucks to be used when not needed". In other words, doesn't make much sense.

As far as i know, mongolian grammar puts verbs at the end of each sentence, so you might need to modify your word placing. good luck
