That's what I told him. That's what I told him would happen. I told him that would happen. I told him that would be the result.

It basically means "I told someone something would occur. And it did!

I had a long discussion with Paul in which I told him fire burns. But he decided to stick his hand in the fire anyway to see what would happen. And you know what? He burned his hand severely, and now he's in the hospital. Well, I told him so!
