الصقعة، بالفتح: شدة البرد من الصقيع.
the egyption reversed it in their dialect and say صعقه-> سأعه
this is an adjective for the type of coldness
حار = hot
but سخن = heated

Well, Egyptian Arabic distinguishes between two kinds of cold: 'cold' weather (برد)and 'cold' temperature (ساقع).
Correct:
الدنیا برد. (Lit: the world is cold.)
It's cold.
Incorrect:
*.الدنیا ساقعه
Correct:
الحاجه الساقعه ساقعه. (Lit: The 'cold thing' [Regional Egyptian slang for 'soda/pop/etc'] is cold.)
Incorrect:
*الحاجه الساقعه برد.
It might a bit confusing at first for somebody whose native language (or another language they speak) does not maintain that difference, but just give it some time to sink in. Hope this helps!
