    너 무슨 말 하고있는거야? (casual conversation between the same age friends)

    어떤 음식을 가장 좋아하세요?
    뭐 좋아하는 음식은 있어요?
    제일 좋아하는 음식이 뭐야?

    How old are you?
    연세가 어떻게 되시나요? (Usually for very old people/may be more than 60)
    나이가 어떻게 되세요? /몇살이에요? (Someone you don't know, but he is not so older than you or so)
    몇살이니? (for children)

    What is your name?
    성함이 어떻게 되시나요?/존함이 어떻게 되시죠? (the highest honorific form for common people)
    이름이 뭐예요?
    이름이 뭐니? (for children)

    I don't understand
    잘 모르겠어요(literally, I am not sure/I don't know exactly) = 저는 모르겠어요(I don't know) = 난 몰라요
    몰라. 모르겠어. 잘 몰라. can be casual expressions.

    We don't have formal expressions, we just have 'polite form' of speaking or 'honorific terms'
    There is several ways of speaking politely
    1. Use the words raising the listener's position to show respect.
    연세가 어떻게 되시나요?
    성함이 어떻게 되시죠?
    댁으로 돌아가셔서 기다리시는게 좋을 것 같습니다.
    식사를 마치시고 기다리시죠.
    2. Use the words lowering the speaker's position to show respect.
    제가 들어 드리겠습니다.
    저는 잘 모르겠습니다.
    제 이름은 Peter입니다.

    너 무슨 말 하고있는거야? --> 무슨 말이에요?

    What is your favorite food?
    뭐 좋아하는 음식은 있어요? --> 무슨 음식을 좋아하세요/좋아해요?

    How old are you?
    몇살이에요? (For a child) --> 맞아

    What is your name?
    이름이 뭐예요? -> 맞아

    I don't understand
    잘 모르겠어요 (formal) -> 맞아
    저는 모르겠어 (less formal) -> 맞아
    난 몰라요 (informal) -> 몰라
