    A refers to something happening in the future. For example: your broken heart will heal itself with passage of time. Meaning you will feel better sometime in the future. Usually used with things which take a somewhat long time to conclude.
    B means you should do something in the now. For example: if you are discussing with a friend about how you have always wanted to travel the world and he says, "Time and tide wait for no man," he is telling you that you should do it as soon as possible.
