Simply put, ~기만 하여도 (or ~기만 해도 in casual speech) is a commonly used expression which means something like "Simply doing X will result in.." "Doing X, alone, will result in.." I know it sounds awkward in English, but it is a commonly used expression in Korean.

Here's a break down of of this expression:

    대- to touch
기 - a verb ending that changes a verb into a noun. (touch -> touching)
    만 - a particle meaning "only"

    하여 - to do (하다)
도 - when used with a verb, it means "even" or "even though"
(when used with anything else, it means "also," as in "나도. (Me, too)," but here it is used with a verb, so it means "Even though")

So if you translate it directly, it means "Even though you do only touching,"

But this is too complicated, and the native speakers won't ever analyze this expression this deeply. I'd just remember it like an idiom.

    Examples:

이 물은 손을 대기만 하여도 뜨겁다
Simply touching this water will make your hands hot.

잠을 충분히 자기만 해도 건강해질 수 있다.
Getting enough sleep, alone, can make one healthy.

    ~만 just / only when~
손대기만 했어. I only touched it.
