Why are any adjectives in russian double "ee" in finally part of word ?

I have a problem when I see in books some adjectives when they finally in double "ee" .

For example, I saw this, in book calls : "три поросёнка"

"С каждым днём становилось всё холоднее и холоднее"

Somebody can help me^^

    это сравнительная степень прилагательного холодный -> холоднее , быстрый -> быстрее

    Холоднее= colder .... (darker= темнее, nicer =милее)

     

    If the last consonant of the adjective is н, л, р, п, б, м, в : Add “ее”

    трудНый(difficult) - трудНее(more difficult , also: more difficultly)
    светЛый (light) - светЛее (more light)
    быстРый (fast ) - быстРее(faster)
    красиВый(beautiful) - красиВее(more beautiful, also: more beautifully)
