Resolved questions
is "capital correspondent" mean "Financial correspondent"?

Ben Bradlee, Netvsweek's chief capital correspondent and a close Kennedy friend, was browsing in Brentano's book store. Angie Novello, the Attorney General's private secretary, had decided to clean his office. It had, she thought, become altogether too junky.

Bradlee was Newsweek's Washington Bureau chief in 1960. Washington is the *capital*. I was thrown myself because Capitol Correspondent (covering events in the US Capitol building, i.e. news about the doings of Congress) is more common as a position, I think. But "capital correspondent" apparently is also possible. Anyway, it's not the "capital" of "Das Kapital". :)

Perhaps he was reporting on things from the capital city?
