what does "compliments of the tooth fairy"mean?

I wrench open the bottom of my tooth-shaped piggy bank and pull out the crumpled bills I’ve stashed in there over the years, compliments of the tooth fairy. Smoothing everything out on the bed, I count exactly forty-two dollars. That’s a lot of teeth! I don’t know what Leo has planned, but it never hurts to be prepared.

In some places, each time a child looses a baby tooth, they can put it under their pillow, or similar & in the night, while the person sleeps, the tooth fairy will come & take it. The tooth fairy will leave money in its place. This person has kept the money the tooth fairy left them.
"compliments of ..." means from, and sometimes it means "free & from ...".
