"yet" is for uncompleted actions ~ EXAMPLE :
-Did you buy a new shoes?
-Not yet (means, i did not buy that , maybe later)

"still" is for continuing actions ~ EXAMPLE :
-Are you ready for the exam?
-No, i am still studying (means, i continue studying, did not get ready for the exam)
