    الْعِلْمُ نُورٌ وَ الْجَهْلُ ظَلَامٌ

    al (ع)(i)lmu nurun wal jahlu (ظ)(DZ)lamun.

    (DZ) isn't actually how we pronounce (ظ) but I can't find any better transcription ,but I assume you already know how to pronounce both (ع) and (ظ).

    This sentence is actually a kind of metaphor in Arabic as it means literally

    "Knowledge is light and ignorance is darkness."

    al ilm nuur, wal jahl thalam
    ..ilm= with /ain/ sound
    .. and thalam with ظ sound
