I take the HAND of my son.

gli tengo LA MANO

???

perche' si usa "ti tengo le mani". You can not take someone's two hands and go together. !!!

    la mano=singular
    le mani=plural
    but i see that you know that. The way to express the moment while a couple is walking and touching their hands is:
    "si tengono per mano"
    "tenersi per mano"
