    IV stands for intravenous. A needle is introduced into a vein, and through that liquids, such as insulin can be administered.


    an IV is a needle that is stuck in a person's skin connected to a tube and a bag of fluid. It is used to keep a person hydrated.

    IV is intravenous. Insulin is injected into a vein of a person. It's not a blood group. There are only four blood groups O, A, B and AB.
