can you explain to me what are the differences between assessment and prediction?

Assessment is a word which means "conclusions about something" and that can be something in the past, present, or future. Prediction is a guess about someone in the future (it has the prefix pre- which usually means 'before'). Additionally, assessments are generally seen as more certain, or at least that is their connotation.
