I think you wanted say something like:
"Our world is the sort in which people kill each other every day."
It is certainly unfortunate that mankind hasn't yet been able to overcome our irrational tendencies to devolve into violent solutions or even worse to try to "find meaning" through committing atrocious acts such as mass murder, serial murder, and terrorism.
Let us look to examples such as Gandhi, Mandela, Martin Luther King, Jr., and others to find a way to create meaningful dialogue so that we can work together to create a bright future. It's not easy but "ad astra per aspera" (to the stars through difficulties).
